    Good evening,

I currently serve at RAF Boulmer as an air battle manager (formerly known as Fighter Controllers) and am therefore very interested in the heritage of my own branch history. Bunker 13 is at the heart of this and I would like to meet with the preservation group to view the operations room and see what my colleagues and I can do as current serving airmen to support its future. Please e-mail me specific contact details and I will be in touch ASAP.

    Many thanks,

    Sqn Ldr Baz Potts

I live on the estate and have only just found out about the bunker. Absolutely fascinating stuff and loving reading into it.

Is anyone still manning the bunker or maintaining it?

There is much happening behind the scenes on the bunker front at the moment – keep watching this space and we’ll let everyone know as soon as we have more details.

I have read about this bunker and even tried visiting the site several times but it is obviously locked up and inaccessible to the public, it seems such a shame to have such an excellent heritage sight locked away and deteriorating literally under our feet. I would love to become a member and to help where I can in any restoration plan
